Gospel musician Stevie Muliya in pre Christmas free show

Gospel musician Stevie Muliya will this Saturday have an early Christmas celebration with his fans at Steers Gardens in Blantyre.

According to Muliya, patrons will not pay any penny to be part of the show which is scheduled to start as early as 8am to 5pm.

The artist says he decided to organize the event as a way of celebrating with his fans and thanking them for their support towards his music ministry.

“This is the year when my dream came true as an artist. I released my album ‘Zisomo’ and the people out there have made it a success,” said Muliya, a former member of Lloyd Phiri and Happiness Voices group.

Fondly known as ‘Wazisomo’ in the gospel fraternity, Muliya, one of the most exciting gospel performers due to his stage work, released his debut album early last month.

“The people have been very supportive during shows as well as buying my CDs, so this is a ‘thank you show’ that’s why there’s no entry fee attached.

“Patrons will just have to buy any food stuff from Steers and Debonairs, at reduced prices,” he told Nyasa Times, adding “My CDs will also be selling at only K500”.

Apart from Muliya’s performance, there will also be activities lined up for the audience, among them eating and dancing competitions.

As a family fair, children will also be treated to their own interesting games.

The event has been sponsored by Steers and Debonairs in partnership with TNM, SOBO and Coca Cola.
