People, To start with the guy next to new IG kanyama is Mr Kachama, who is DIG administration and continues in that position. kanyama was DIG Operations and now that he has been appointed IG, Rodney Jose has taken his place as DIG operations. Noone trivialises the death of Chasowa but it appears to me that Jose has been convicted without trial based on a report which did not even mention mention him as a killer. Where there is a need for absolute security in a country, there will be Police brutality applied. MCP Government applied this brutality and there was absolute security especially under Inspector General Kamwana. Kamuzu fired most of the IGs that came there after for failing to apply that brutality. In the absence of such brutality during UDF government, we saw a huge security lapse.
