High 5! Bullets pip Mzuzu United: Malawi TNM Super League

Big Bullets produced a stunning performance to massacre Mzuzu United 5-0 on Saturday at Kamuzu Stadium in the elite TNM Super League.

The ‘Peoples Team’ breathed fire in the first half as they scored  four goals through Chimango Kayira, Dalitso Sailesi, Lawson Chilewe and a brace from Diverson Mlozi, who scored a goal in each half.

Playing in front of their highly charged supporters, who thronged the stadium in large numbers, Bullets were a marvel to watch in the first 45 minutes as they outplayed the visitors in all the departments.

In-form Dalitso Sailesi was a thorn to the visitors as he for the several time tormented their defence.

Mzuzu United proved to be indeed rookies in the elite league. They looked a little bit lost and had not technic to deal with the home side.

They lacked composure, judgment and zeal.

The only worry for Bullets was when they lost two players Owen Chaima in goals and Sankhani Mkandawire who sustained injuries.

In a black suit, Big Bullets coach Edington Ngonamo described their victory as revenge after Mzuzu United was responsible last season to oust them in the Carlsberg Cup.

“This is a sweet victory and l can assure our fans that more is yet to come,” said Ngonamo.

Mzuzu United coach attributed their loss to what happen the previous day when his players were man handled by alleged Bullets fans.

“My players were affected with what happen yesterday but all in all we will bounce back soon,” he said.
