Detective Inspector Blackson Muheya of Liwonde Police said a young man who went to wee in the nearby bush discovered the bones and reported the matter to police.

Muheya said the man might have died two weeks ago.

“The bones were scattered around the bush as a skull, hands and leg bones were disjointed. It is believed that dogs scrambled for his flesh,’’ suggested Inspector Muheya.

The police buried the bones on the scene the same day and investigations are underway to discover the cause of death.—Mana

  14. Obserer says:

How can you burry the bones without a pathologist? Bones reveal how someone died and you can’t say investigations are under when bones are buried?

Another observation is that BEAM is advocating for clean environment! How come the young man was allowed to go in the bush and wee? Was he wrong or right? otherwise the body would not have been discovered? What do you think?

  16. blessing lipengs says:

the bones were supposed to be taken to a police laboratory for forensic investigation through DNA .once the relatives are found the bones were supposed to be given to them for proper burial ,why rushing to burry them before investigation is completed?

  17. mtumbuka1 says:

You kidding me! You said the police are investigating the cause of the death?? I thought the police would first of all take the bones to a police lab and conduct their forensic bla-bla while following up on the payslip of the dude whose payslip was found in the bones bag! Why just Bury the bones in a haste? Shoddy work on the part of the police, those who watch medical detectives on dstv would aggree with me that if it were those cops on that programme they would get the name of this poor guy(whose bones just got buried) and probably his age…shame the evil one.

  18. Wonder 30 says:

They buried the bones the same day,and the investigation is underway. That’s how the Kanjedza trained police conduct their job.Nothing like Dna whatever koma kudalira nyanga.Suppose the dead man must hv been carrying the payslip of somebody else?

  19. mbonjy says:

U’ve buried the exhibit and the evidence how will u determine the cause of death??? U leave a lot to be desired.

  20. Wisdom says:

Those cannot be bones of a human who died two weeks ago not unless you are showing us a picture of bones of an individual who died 100 years or more. No dog can remove fresh or bones like that or disconnect joints. Someone must have killed the individual long time and was keeping those bones until that day when he thought I cannot keep these bones any longer. Am sure people have been using that bush no wonder the person who was keeping those bones thought it would be easy to be spotted by a member of public. May the remains receive a proper burial with dignity ao that the soul rests in peace.
