I don’t pose nude says Fatima, brushes off haters

Straight and bold; one of the country’s representatives to the ongoing Big Brother Africa Chase, Fatima Nkata has brushed off pictures of her being naked in a shower that were circulated on the social media as not true reflection of her life in the multimillion mansion.

Fatima, who was evicted from the TV reality show three weeks ago, is a former TV presenter and socialite who is currently set to be hosting Umunthu talk-show yet to be aired on MBCtv.

While in the house, ‘Shower-Hour’ nude pictures of Fatima as well as other female house-mates circulated in the social media, before other nude pictures of Natasha Tonthola-another Malawi’s representative- also made waves on the internet.

But in an exclusive interview with MBCtv Mwaswera program on Tuesday, Fatima dismissed the nude pictures as distorted image of her.

“I came out of that house and I saw  a headline saying, Fatima poses nude for Big Brother, but what they actually did was they extracted a picture of me having a bath, thinking I was deliberately posing. That is not in my character.

“My father would still flog me to this day, if I did something that would compromise my integrity and that of my family, and of my country. I don’t think would have been able to come back home,” explains Fatima.

On her closeness with Ghanaian Elikem, who many thought were in love, Fatima said was hoping their friendship would continue outside the house as the bond they created is beyond the BBA game.

She said: “The bracelet means a lot to me. I keep it closely because it was one I was given by my best friend Elikem. The bond we created is beyond the game and I hope our friendship continues outside the house. I mean, friendship, don’t get it twisted”.

While in the house the Malawian ‘Chasemate’ came close to Elikem to the point that his lover Pokelo was on her neck with Fatima vehemently saying she hated Pokelo’s approach on her friendship with Elikem.

On her experience in the house, Fatima believes she is now stronger and more outgoing person, saying she went into the house to reinvent herself.

“The whole reason I went there was to reinvent myself. It was notable; people were tired of seeing the old me, same old stuff. Even myself, personally and in my career, I was stagnant. Now have seen the change in myself, I am more outgoing person now. I see more opportunities ahead,” added Fatima.

The former TV presenter and MC Fatima is from Lilongwe. She enjoys seafood and
her favorite book is Dan Brown’s The Da Vinci Code and her favorite TV shows are Game of Thrones and Sex in the City.

She studied Forensic Science at New College Nottingham for some time and is the third born in a family of six, and she describes herself as “unique, daring, nurturing, fun and loud” and says she makes friends very easily.
