I will develop Chitipa into a city – James Nyondo

As May 20, date for tripartite elections is fast approaching, president  of the National Salvation Front (NASAF) James Nyondo who is also vying for Chitipa central constituency parliamentary seat  says he has a vision of turning Chitipa into a City.

Nyondo , who was speaking on Sunday to the crowd that attended his campaign rally at Chitipa market square . said he will build the first class market with all the required facilitates, a mini stadium and community hall with a library besides other notable infrastructure development within the constituency.

According to Nyondo, he has the passionate vision to deliver Malawians out of the hands of poverty and corruption into a stable productive life of prosperity.

“The district  has potential to grow but those who were elected previously as MP failed to develop it into the city. I left America because I have the passions to serve my people of Chitipa,” said Nyondo who in the 2009 elections stood as an independent presidential candidate and lost. He also lost his parliamentary bid when he contested in Lilongwe.

“There are other developments that are done by government while others are done by individual’s hard work.I have friends who are keen to help me develop Chitipa into a city once you vote for me next month,” he told the crowds.

The NASAF president also said he has friends from America who together have formed Alabama Malawi Investment Partnership Council with the aim of helping Malawians business through women and youth clubs.

This vision of Alabama Malawi Investment Partnership Council is to develop opportunities to match American people with the industrious people of Malawi to form partnerships for the economic growth of the country.

“I don’t promise what I can’t deliver, if others are failing to develop the constituency they should not take Nyondo as a failure as well,” said Nyondo, adding that his American friends are ready to assist him with development projects.

According to Nyondo people across the country will start benefiting from the loan starting this coming Thursday.

Speaking about the relationship of American businessmen and Nyondo trustee of Alabama Malawi partnership investment council Larry Vinson highly praised the NASAF president as the next best leader of the country.

Vinson said Nyondo has all the requirement of becoming the president of the nation as he has a better vision of transforming Malawi from dominantly depending on donor aid to self dependant.

“We have trust in Nyondo that is why I am here to give testimony of his capabilities and share his vision of transforming Malawi,” said Vinson.

For James Nyondo to win the parliamentarian seat for Chitipa central constituency has to beat six candidates including independent candidate Irene Chizumila, United Democratic Front (UDF) Faustance Namushani, Alinibwila Msongole of Peoples Party (PP), businessman Fukumele Mukumbwa who will contest on the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP), Aston Nyondo of Peoples Democratic Movement(PDM) and Milembo Musopole of Malawi Congress Party (MCP).
