Did this Mwenye hold a gun to anyone’s head to accumulate the $600,00 +. If Malawi was stable, the dude would have that money in the bank. He would not be lugging gold bars to Dubai. Instead of flying to Jo’burg and back, full of shit in a suitcase to sell on the roadside, this guy may have shipped a container back to Malawi. It is the “Economy” stupid! Malawi has been a net brain drain since the early 70’s!

This times around 8,000 Indian (+Pakistanis) and Chinese businessmen = +$5 Billion.
These people (plus cahgaters and their masters) are the ones that make Malawi poor.

We are crying that our economy is down but we do not seal the loop holes such as externalising the forex, and then cashgate.

There are many chinese traders in Malawi. Many indians. Many of them do not have bank accounts? Pin them down

  12. Chambe says:

Really with physical evidence in disposal?
Just see, he will be scot free. There is no Mwenye who has ever been sentenced and spent nights and days in our jail. And that other one with a similar case in which the Reserve Bank Governor risked arrest for contempt of court? How far is that case of an Indian who raped a maid into her mouth? Our Judges are so selective when it comes cases involving Mwenye and Mzungu.
