O………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………….O I wonder why Japan is still naive in their model of assisting poor countries. You cant go to the rural area and give people money to buy shoes when the people do not have food or other immediate necessities OR when the people are 5-star thieves hence not trustworthy. Although we know that you don’t like China, but what you should have done was to borrow a leaf from the Chinese model of assisting people in other developing nations. If it was possible I would advise government to resuscitate the schemes we had during the actual MCP under Kamuzu. I also remember seeing prisons producing their own food. This was so until multi-party was introduced when the western countries condemned the practice of having prisoners work in gardens in order to feed themselves. The Malawi government swallowed hook, line and sinker without looking at the pros/cons about the suggestion.
