That Joyce Banda found the cashgate already existed from Bingu wa Mutharika, she was not the pioneer of cashgate. The cashgate started with the DPP not the Joyce Banda regime don’t be misled our brothers and sisters from Malawi, that is your country you must know better that we your neighbors. She fell into a pit dug by DPP regime.

A true analysis. JB should learn to control her mouth, amayakhula msanga before the brain finalises the actual thinking. Be realistic Amayi. Thats why you are still on the run. You will be for sometime.

When corruption, abuse of power continues uninterrupted, unchallenged, the people of Malawi cannot know who to trust, who is honest, who has their best interests at heart. In Lee Kuan Yew’s account of how he lifted Singapore ‘From Third World to First’ in the same amount of time Malawi’s leaders have dropped The Warm Heart further down the league tables, he writes: ‘My experience of developments in Asia has led me to conclude that we need good people to have good government. When Muluzi run against the first democratic election, the incumbent also lost. However, it is possible in some aspects to argue that Malawi was not a democratic nation then. On the other hand, no one runs for the high office in a dictatorship. So the question is, was Malawi still under dictatorship during democratic elections, which Muluzi won?

So far this is good analysis of JB’s maladministration. I want to add that the current regime is so crafty in their ways of milking public money to the extent that the $33 million referred to in the article is just a drop in the ocean. So in as far as I am concerned UDF, DPP-Bingu, PP & DPP-APM have taken my nation backwards. I actually see shamelessness in the way these regimes have plundered resources meant for the public. The real development happened during the MCP era where despite the many atrocious acts we saw tangible infrastructure and improved… Read more »
