K1.9m Mpico socials cup in quarterfinals

The  K1.9 million Mpico Socials Football tournament  has reached quarterfinals and the sponsors say they are greatly impressed with the response from teams as well as fans on the opening day.

Eight of the 12 participating teams made it into the quarterfinal stage after finishing top in their respective groups during the play-offs held last Saturday at the Inspector General of Police ground in Area 30.

The eight quarterfinalists include: Black Rhino, MRA, Old Mutual, FMB, AHL Group, Bunda Alumni, Mpico and Limbe Leaf Tobacco.

Mpico’s head of marketing Ellen Chapinduka-Nyasulu said: “We had a successful launch last Saturday and the preliminary games went without any problems.

“Members from different teams were able to interact, share ideas and establish networks. This is what we wanted as sponsors.”

Added Chapinduka-Nyasulu :“ We (Mpico) are in the business of building walls (offices and buildings) and now we are building ‘bridges’ to enable our clients network and grow their businesses.”

Below were results for the group play-offs: MRA 2 Airtel 1, UNC 0 Limbe Leaf 4, Bunda 0 AHL Group 2, Black Rhino 3 MRA 0, Mpico 2 UNC 0, Airtel 0 Black Rhino 0, Ecobank 0 Old Mutual 2, MSB 0 Bunda 1, FMB 2 Ecobank 0, Limbe Leaf 0 Mpico 4, AHL 1 MSB 1, Old Mutual 1 FMB 0.

Quarterfinal pairs are as follows: AHL vs Limbe Leaf, Mpico vs Bunda, Old Mutual vs MRA, Black Rhino vs FMB.

hahahahaha but you guys of mpiko mulibenso manyazi inu mesa u lost 3zero to UNC?more over you featured super league players is that socials?hahahaha mukagwele uko.

the game between UNC and MPICO it was UNC PROJECT who got the three point because MPICO featured players who where not eligible according to the rules so UNC got the three points and three goals.
