Kabwila ‘demoted’ as Malawi Congress Party reshuffle frontbench in Parliament

Opposition Malawi Congress Party (MCP)leadership of Lazarus Chakwera is plunged into chaos— as he carried out a disastrous frontbench reshuffle moving maverick Salima North West Parliamentarian Dr Jessie Kabwila to the backbench.
Kabwila, who is also spokeswoman for MCP, has of late been overshadowed in the party.
MCP appointed another lawmaker Alekeni Menyani as Public Relations Officer of the party, effectively acting a bigger role of prolocutor of the party instead of Kabwila.
Kabwila has been moved to the six row on the party benches in the House, a clear parliamentary demotion.
Also moved is party ‘rebel’ Felix Jumbe. The Salima central lawmaker has joined Kabwila in the six row from fourth row.
Kasungu South East member, Khumbize Kandodo Chiponda has relocated to the front bench.
The relocation of MPs in parliament is said to have caused tension within the rank and file of MCP.
But MCP deputy secretary general Eisenhower Mkaka downplayed the reshuffled, saying the party continue reinventing its image.
In August last year Chakwera reshuffled the MCP politburo by moving around some old faces and roping in new ones.
New faces introduced into the NEC then included former deputy minister of Finance Cornelius Mwalwanda and former Blantyre City Central MP Eunice Makangala who served in Cabinets of former presidents Bingu wa Mutharika (deceased) and Joyce Banda under the banners of DPP and PP.
Chakwera, who is also leader of opposition in Parliament, spared his vice-presidents Richard Msowoya and Mac Lombola.
The MCP leader also drafted into the NEC former speaker of parliament Louis Chimango as legal adviser to replace Lewis Chakhwantha who was moved to head the youth committee and replaced Lobin Lowe who is now the organising secretary.

Chakwera is very quick to take action thats the leader malawi wants, had it been he is incharge of this nation issue of killing people living with albinism could have been dealt with already but look what is happening.
Kabwila’s head started growing big unwisely. She doesn’t even know who can add political value to her. I don’t expect her personality to be associating with the likes of Hazam Mwale as political geniuses. Well done Chakwera for axing this educated stupid fool from the front bench!

Chakwera is vengeful and oppressive, a dictator like most pastors who abhor any form of contrary views, challenge or opposition. Just look at his track record since joining politics and see what he has done to those that contested his position at the convention and those that at some point have challenged his ideas/decisions/leadership style, they have been crashed and sidelined.
Similarly his approach to APM is hateful, demeaning, cynical, insinuating, belligerent and showdown kind of. I’m afraid how much we would see of him if he becomes state president.
This should be an issue if all people think about within organizations is promotion or demotion which, in my view, is rather shallow.
This is not DPP where thieves are being rotated within cabinet. This mighty MCP the party that will govern the country 2019. Kabwila is the Publicity Secretary for MCP I know DPP sagona tulo ndi Kabwila. Kagwereni uko a kha-kha inu.

Chakwera be very careful. People like Kabwira sacrifice all what they have, even their own lives, for MCP….and in return they get these embarrassments and insults? Once again, be very careful.
Is this a story or personal opinion? Read the first paragraph. It does not make sense. Shifting of personnel in parliament is not disastrous or lack of good leadership. It is in fact that people should be changing roles so that you give others to show their skills. Kabwila is NOT demoted as you want people to be believe. She has been redeployed within MCP leadership.
Can you guys right sense, otherwise you are exposing your lack of knowledge.
