People’s Party (PP) third vice president Kamlepo Kalua has told former vice president Khumbo Kachali to “stop whingeing” about the firing of his political errand boy Mzimba Hora Member of Parliament Christopher Mzomera Ngwira from the PP.
Ngwira was fired on Tuesday for allegedly organising athugs to disrupt a meeting which PP acting president Uladi Mussa was supposed to address last Sunday in Mzuzu.
The PP has accused Ngwira for being bankrolled by Kachali and the ruling DPP to cause confusion in the party.
PP announced this week the expulsion of Ngwira and indicated the party would write Speaker of the National Assembly to reallocate Ngwira in Parliament away from PP MPs.
But Kachali PP for swiftly firing Ngwira, saying “dialogue would have been the best way.”
But Kalua argued that the firing of Ngwira was a collective decision to bring sanity, observing that the party values discipline as more important than numbers in Parliament.
Karonga South MP Malani Mtonga also backed the decision to expel Ngwira as “the most welcome development.”Follow and Subscribe Nyasa TV :
