Kang’azi for welfare of Bullets players

Lilongwe-based business magnet Rex Peter Mitochi, who is frontrunner for the post of Big Bullets Central Region Supporters Committee chairman has said his main priority is to improve the welfare of team’s players once elected into office during tomorrow’s (Saturday) elections scheduled for Lilongwe Community Centre.

The businessman, likely to be the sole contender for the chairmanship position has said in his manifesto that he will work towards improving the welfare of players and performance of the ‘people’s team’ which did not get any silver wear in the 2013 soccer season.

“My main target is to work hand in hand with the main executive and all stakeholders in improving the welfare of players. It has become a practice some of our supporters especially in Blantyre to go after money realized from gates during games. This is unfortunate and has to stop. As supporters, we get paid when the team wins games or trophies,” says Mitochi in his five-page point plan presented to Nyasa Times.

Popularly known as Kang’azi, the businessman also says he will assist in organizing fundraising activities to boost the club’s financial standing.

The aspiring chairman has not left out supporters in his manifesto, indicating he will ensure that many fans from Lilongwe have an opportunity of following and cheering the team wherever it goes to play in the central region.
