Kasungu Lions Club fundraises for Mtunthama Primary School
Kasungu Lions Club in conjunction with Kachere Golf Club on Saturday organised a golf tournament and dinner and dance to raise funds for Mtunthama Primary School.
Chairman for Kasungu Lions Club , Jack Kam’mayani said the tournament and dinner were organised to raise K1 million for two school blocks.
“Some companies have pledged their support, but the money we will raise from the tournament and dinner and dance will be used to buy some of the materials and make payments,” he said.
Kam’mayani urged all Malawians to be motivated and have the heart of taking care of their communities and not waiting for the government to do everything.
The president thanked Airtel, Press Trust and British American Investment Company (Kenya) Limited for their support.
Mtunthama Primary School is situated next to Kamuzu Academy currently with four classes learning under trees.
The tournament brought together five teams, at Kachere Greens in Kamuzu Academy.
