Lilongwe car spare parts dealer gets ‘early wedding present’ from Airtel Malawi

A Lilongwe based car spare parts dealer Brian Sorey has emerged  winner in the ongoing Airtel Malawi Bola Kunthazi Promotion by claiming a ninth Toyota Hilux during the draw held at the company’s head office in the capital city.

Speaking in a telephone interview with Airtel Malawi Public Relations Officer Edith Tsilizani,  the Area 25 based Sorey said  he is very happy since the vehicle has come at a time when his wedding is  just around the corner.

“This is my first and greatest wedding present, I am getting married on July 8th and believe me, I will have this vehicle there and tell people what a present I have from Airtel Malawi. You can just imagine having a new family and a new vehicle, I am the most favored person,” said Sorey who plies his trade at Malangalanga market in town.

He said he will use the vehicle for transporting spare parts and farming.

Speaking earlier before the draw, Airtel Malawi Research and Planning Manager Richmond Chinula said the company is fulfilling its obligation of empowering people and creating positive impact by offering innovative and relevant solutions.

“With the current promotion, Airtel desires to provide some financial freedom amongst its customers in these economic hard times,” he said.

The promotion which started in April ends in four weeks time. Each week, one customer walks away with a Toyota Hilux pick up, 5 people take home a Samsung Galaxy  handset each, 100 people get K1000 worth of airtime .

So far a grand prize of a Toyota Fortuner is yet to be won.
