Lilongwe’s Karen Theu wins K1m in Airtel Malawi ‘Tipate’ Promotion

A Lilongwe based woman Karen Theu became the first lucky person to win K1 million in the newly launched Airtel Tipate Promotion just a day after mothers’ day.

Theu,a senior personal assistant to the Chief Executive Officer  at Central Medical Stores Trust (CMST) became the first luck winner in a draw conducted on Wednesday in Lilongwe.

The 40 year old Theu, mother of two, was over the moon after hearing the news that she has become the first winner in the promotion.

“I can’t believe that I am the winner, the money has come at a right time as I am finalizing building a church in my community, my priority will be to finish the construction of Chitsime Seventh Day Adventist Church,” she said.titape

Airtel Malawi Marketing Manager, Tanmoiy Saha said the company as the leading brand in the country always finds it important to recognize its loyal customers.

The daily prize for the promotion is K1 million to one lucky customers each day. Every week six lucky customers across the country stand a chance to become millionaires by winning cash and airtime as consolation prizes.

One lucky customer will walk away with K10 million as a grand prize at the end of the promotion in January next year.
