Living an overcoming life in Christ Jesus

Living for Jesus Christ is the most exciting and rewarding life that one could ever live. There is absolutely nothing in the world that can compare to live in Christ Jesus.

Once we receive and accept the Lord Jesus, we become new creations in Christ Jesus as such we have the divine nature within our heart, which is the nature of God, which means that the Holy Spirit now resides within our heart and life.

Just saying the words that lead to salvation alone is not what will save people but believing in the Lord Jesus Christ which is what make one start to desire the things of God like they have never done before.

Satan, the enemy of your soul, is not happy with the fact that you have received the Lord Jesus Christ and will do anything to bring problems or to bring you back to your old life. That is why it is important that those that have just received the Lord Jesus must be nurtured into the things of God.

The most important thing is to read the word of God. Everything that one wants to know about God is found in the Bible. The Bible tells us in John 5:39 “to search the scriptures…”

Knowing the bible is very important as it is the only thing that can help us defeat temptations, and all evil plans of the enemy over our lives. Remember when Jesus Christ was tempted, He was quoting scriptures and even the devil himself tried to manipulate the scriptures so that it could work to his advantage.

Jesus said that man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God (Mat 4:4). This means that as natural food is important and necessary for your physical well being, likewise the study and understanding of the world of God is necessary for your spiritual well being.

The same way one pays attention to three meals a day, that same attention should be given to the word of God, and on a daily basis. As food is important and necessary, so must be your spiritual food.

There is completely nothing that flourishes or grows without nourishment. As a new person in the things of God, nourishment is very important if you are to stay alive spiritually and eventually grow into a mature person of strength and power in the Lord.

The Holy Bible is that nourishment which has been wonderfully conceived to afford both milk to the newborn or convert, and meat to the more advanced. Thy word is a Lamp unto my feet and a Light unto my path” (Psalm 119:105).

In fact the word of God is the only true Lamp that is in the world today. The Holy Spirit which is in you from the day you accepted Jesus Christ as your personal Savior will teach you how to understand the Word of God if you will only ask for His help.

Remember that He is the rewarder of them who diligently seek Him.
