Lulu dates Blantyre on 3 June, partners with Entertainers Promotions

After successfully launching his 5th studio album “Mwayenera” at Bingu International Conventional Center (BICC) in May, Lulu who proved that he is a force to reckon with and secured his legendary status pathway, has teamed up with Entertainers Promotion as he takes the album launch to Robins Park in Blantyre on Friday.

Commenting on the partnership, Lulu’s manager Levi Msakambewa said the move has been done to add quality.

“Blantyre will be a perfect performance taking into account the feedback from the audience of the first one in Lilongwe. All the challenges people noticed and requested from Lulu have been considered,” he told Malawi News Agency.

He further added that fans who patronized the Lilongwe launch said they wanted to see Lulu perform more songs from the 10 track album.

He said: “Its quality sound versus skillful Lulu. It all means massive entertainment.”

Information gathered indicates that Tonderai Banda’s Entertainers Promotions will include unveiling of new gear they just acquired; cordless guitar and head microphone.

In Lilongwe, the R&B and Afro Pop crooner was backed by Mathumela Band and a choir.

On the onset, Lulu mesmerized fans as he dished out hits from previous and the newly launched album as the crowd sung along to every song which motivated the “Mbambande” hit maker to give a performance of his life.

“The crowd was amazing. Thanks to everyone that came to support me in Lilongwe,” he said. “The album is available at Lords Best Collection and all big Filling Stations across the country. It’s selling at K1500 a CD.”

Asked why people should buy the album, Lulu responded, “This album is more matured than the other ones because I feel like I am getting matured every day. And as you could see from my performance, I brought a full choir which shows professionalism as far as performances is concerned.”

The album took three good years in great thinking, iconic composition and careful selection of lyrics covering love and family, gospel message, the album is a masterpiece.
