Lulu set to release new album titled ‘Mwayenera’
Malawi’s celebrated R&B singer, composer, producer and guitarist Lulu (born Lawrence Khwisa) is set to release his brand new album titled ‘Mwayenera’.
The launch is scheduled to place at Bingu International Conference Centre (BICC) and not Golden Peacock Hotel as earlier communicated on 1st May, 2016.
The musician who is currently in the United Kingdom for performances said this is a special year as he releases a new album after a couple of years.
“This year is a very special year as I am launching yet another album after such a long time” said Lulu.
He last released a new albuM in 2013.
The new album include songs like Ungondibwelezela and Zagwera ine which can be downloaded on line via http://m.malawi-music.com/song.php?id=4022.
His Mwayenera launch will be curtain raised by the famous acoustic duo of Edgar and Davis of the Wazelezeka fame.
Some of the activities at the event will include photo shoot, CD auctioning and patrons will also have a chance to pay for their various favourite tracks and many more.
Tickets for the show can be accessed at Papaya and BICC.
VIP tickets are going at K10,000.00 while standard tickets are being sold at K5,000.00.
Lulu has previously produced a number of of albums including Mbambande, Kumalembe, Sindilora and Ndakudziwa.
He came into lime light early 2000 with hit single Magwiragwira.
Lulu has worked in different studios and in Zembani Band before setting up his Mathumela Productions (recording studio) and band.
