Mabvuto Lungu says no Bullets complacency: Malawi TNM Super League
Champions Big Bullets FC coach Mabvuto Lungu has warned his side their performance levels must not drop when they host Silver Strikers on Saturday at Kamuzu Stadium in the TNM Super League.
The Peoples team have been in fine form in the elite League, recording only one defeat against Airborne Rangers.
Their superb run of form has seen the defending top flight champions also beaming with confidence on the summit table.
And while the Peoples Team will be firm favourites at the soccer mecca, the former Bullets player has warned against complacency ahead of the clash.
Lungu said: “We are in firm position to reclaim the title but we must not be complacent. We need to get the title in the bag then we can relax.”
“We are not thinking about which position Silver are in the table. We are thinking about if we want to win, we must play the same way we did against Moyale Barracks last week.
“I have always said to the players that the road to championship is still long way. We can be leading the log table, but that does not mean we have already clinched the silverware.”
However, Silver Strikers who are following closely the Peoples Team on the log table will be definitely be invading the commercial city on a mission.
The bankers, general secretary Fred Kalonga said they are in Blantyre on a serious mission not on holiday.
“We have not given up on the title, and Bullets should expect a tough battle tomorrow. We know that any victory against Bullets will boost our chances of clinching the League further,” said Kalonga.
