Calisto Kalinda scored a brace to help his side bag maximum points that have helped his team to go up to 5th position from 7th on the 15 member TNM Super League log table.

Mafco now have 28 points from 17 games.

Mafco coach Thomas Maloya applauded his players for the hard working spirits excellent style of play which earned them maximum points.

“I am very happy that we have managed to collect maximum points. We played our normal passing game and we are looking forward to do well and deliver positive results in our next assignments” said Maloya.

His counterpart Kondwani Gawani blamed his players for failing to utilize the chances they created.

Gawani also admitted his side is in danger of being relegated but promised to do everything to serve the Airbourne sinking ship.

“It was not our day because we created so many chances but we couldn’t find the back of the net”

“It’s a dangerous thing to be in the relegation zone at this stage of the league but we are going to polish up and be at a better position so that we avoid relegation,” said Gawani.

In another league game played on Saturday, Azam Tigers drew 0-0 against rookies and relegation threatened Mzuni F.C who are stuck at the bottom three of the table.
