Congratulations to Montfort SNE College. It has been long overdue being the only institution offering special needs education in Malawi. Keep it up.

You mean you need to cite Benedicto Kondowe for the fact that education standards in Malawi are poor? I thought it’s common sense. Indeed common sense is not common. Again, you mean Malawi College of Accountancy was not accredited all this time? You were not supposed to tell us this, but rather focus on those recently accredited.

As for NCHE, have you put the list of accredited institutions on your website?

MCA has been accredited, thats good news. The plans for it to be part of Poly I dont agree, let it operate as it is. It is doing fine, its programs are supper and unique. Once they merge, there will be a loss of direction.

The last time I checked, govt had plans to merge some parastatals in order to reduce operational/administrative costs. For example, Blantyre Water Board was to merge with the Southern Region Water Board; LL Water Board with the Central Region Water Board; and Malawi College of Accountancy was to be part of The Polytechnic. Have those plans (which were passed in parliament between 2009 & 2010) changed? Malawi moving in circles!!!!!’m

let me be honest enough, these other institutions r even worse compared to UNIMA.

plz gov don’t b too soft in accrediting these institutions, let them have good infrastructure and teaching staff first.

otherwise i see politics all over. And this is killing our education standards.

Big up Agrippa Phiri and your team for MCA accredition, you are big,as farm I am concerned MCA is the best as far as education is concerned in Malawi.

Comparing modules of accounting degrees between MCA and UNIMA one can easily conclude that UNIMA is far behind to MCA.

I expect employers to scramble for MCA graduates.
