Malawi Chambers of Commerce commends CBET College

The newly-elected president of the Malawi Confederation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry (MCCCI), Newton Kambala, has commended Computer Business Education Training College (CBET) for being the first private college to offer diploma in strategic business information system in the country.

Kambala was speaking during CBET`s graduation ceremony at Malawi Posts Corporation were the students went away with level seven diplomas in the field.

He said this was a good development to the working class who wanted to further their information technology skills.

“These graduates were learning while still working and this is very commendable as we all know that time is very precious,” said Kambala, adding that this would allow more people to study IT as it is much more affordable to do it here than overseas.

“This course is UK-based and the accrediting body is NCC education so CBET had to strike a deal with them to make the course available locally,” he said.

This is the first set of graduates in the field of strategic business information system at CBET.
