Malawi coaches shortlisted for Caf course

Malawian coaches stand a chance of upgrading their professional qualifications following the announcement by Football Association of Malawi (FAM) that it will conduct a CAF A Licence course this year.

Flames Technical Director John Kaputa said in a statement seen by Nyasa Times emailed through FAM Secretariat that the coaching course will run from 1st to 30th April, 2015 at the Chiwembe Technical Centre in the commercial city of Blantyre. The statement indicates that each of the participating coaches is expected to pay a fee of K20, 000.00.

The list of participants to undergo the course includes the reigning Flames coaches Young Chimodzi and his assistant Jack Chamangwana as well as former mentor Kinnah Phiri who is now in-charge of South Africa’s Absa Premiership side Free State Stars.

Women football coaches Karen Chawula and Margaret Chombo are the only females on the list that include Swaziland based coach Charles Manda who coaches Malanti football club.

Meanwhile, Kaputa has asked each of the coaches shortlisted to confirm the availability for the course before 1st March 2015.

Each participant is expected to pay MK20 000 ($1=MK450) participation fee.

Kananji samatha chizung komansoalibe pepala lililonse la CAF,ndiye chake palibe. Ngati akufuna adikire kaye adzalembe class C, kenako B kumalidza ndi A. Apo biii!!!!! manoma mugwa nayo sagwira ntchito chaka chino. FAM yanenetsa,palibe coach opanda CAF licence kuphunzitsa timu ya super league.
