“FAM has already contacted the Ministry of Sports [which is responsible for the coach’s remuneration] and we are negotiating the contracts,” said Nyamilandu.

Chimodzi who has guided the Flames to the group qualifying stages after seeing off Benin on Saturday in Blantyre with a 4-3 post-match penalty win, said he was “extremely delighted” to be allowed to continue with Flames AFCON campaign.

According to him, with good preparation there are no obstacles to hinder Flames from reaching Afcon finals/

Chimodzi was recalled early this year after the end of Belgian coach Tom Saintfiet’s two-month tenure with the Flames.
