This is wishful thinking. Companies that use short cuts to produce poor quality merchandise that are not acceptable at international markets. What changes can they make to the products within months to be accepted. We are the laughing stock in this whole region because we fail to take technical advice and only submit to political advice. We fail to meet the local demand and the country pop will continue being comsumers. What a pity.

Typical of Malawian leaders who say things they themselves dont believe in. Just how will a country which can barely produce anything benefit from this FTA? You need to push for realistic regional industrialisation strategies than this so called free market without anything to sell to other countries. You dont know that you are just being used by Egypt, Kenya and South Africa.
