Malawi dangles K200,000 carrot to players to win Nigeria match

The Football Association of Malawi (FAM) has dangled an incentive ofMK200,000 to each player for a win against Nigeria in the dramatic final group  2014 FIFA World Cup qualifiers scheduled for 7th September 2013 in Calabar.

FAM general secretary Suzgho Nyirenda said they will fork out the money is the Flames secure a victory away in Nigeria.

“This is way above MK30,000 that is paid by Government as Game bonus,” said Nyirenda.

“The team morale is high and players have promised to put their bodies and souls in the game. The incentive is a motivation for the players as they battle it out with Nigeria at U.J Esuene Stadium in Calabar,” the FAM boss said from Nigeria

Meanwhile, the team has arrived safely in Calabar.

Two players Lucky Malata and George Nyirenda have been dropped for the do-die encounter .
