Renowned Malawi female boxer Agnes Mtimaukanena-Mwando will bounce back in the ring in March after a break.

The 23-year-old Mtimaukanena is expected to re-oil her boxing hub against  Lorita Muzeya, in a WBC silver title fight in Zambia.

“I am back for real. I even feel much stronger now.  I can assure Malawians that l will not disappoint and l will make sure to raise the Malawi flag,” she said.

The former World Boxing Federation (WBF) light middleweight champion went on to warn all boxers, who have been making noise when she was away that they should prepare well because she will come after them after the Zambia trip.

Mtimaukanena has recorded seven wins, two defeats and two draws after returning from maternity.

Nyasa Times’ Senior Photojournalist Jeromy Kadewere went to her gym along the Magalasi Road where she took a number of pictures.
