Malawi football squad announced: Harawa dropped, Chikwenga included
Football Association of Malawi (FAM) has released a list of 26 local based players to start preparations for the Africa Cup of Nations on Monday at Chiwembe Technical and Development Centre.
Newly appointed coach Ernest Mtawali has dropped Moyale Barracks goalkeeper McDonald Harawa who was probably the first choice under coach Young Chimodzi.
Not much has changed as Mtawali wants to build around youth and experience by maintaining Bullets veteran striker Fischer Kondowe.
Harawa has been replaced by his team mate at Moyale Juma Chikwenga and another team mate Lloiyd Njaluwa is a new face on the list.

please use these local players not those who are spending their time on the bench in the name of profesionals.Include them but not use them if u want to bring success in the country.LONG LIVE THE FRAMES
Charles swini, Richard Chipuwa, Juma chikwenga are the final picks to Swaziland. I remember the way Swini manned the goal posts in Cosafa game, it was superb, Malawi won Zambia without going into Penalties. Final defenders will b lanjesi, mzava, Malata, fodya, club n flames are different levels. We need a tough team that can withstand pressure from opposition that’s where our weakness is. No wonder we concede… Read more »
