According to Said, Phiri applied for a leave after being hired by the South African Club outfit but his application was turned down.

This means that Malawi has no any football development officer in the entire three regions following the appointment of other officers [Young Chimodzi and Jack Chamangwana] as senior national team coaches.

Saidi said the issue will be looked into upon the expiry of the running contracts of the two coaches.
