Malawi health officials deny yellow fever scare

Ministry of Health officials are battling rumours that the country has suspected cases of yellow fever following an outbreak in some parts of Africa where 200 people have died so far.

Ministry of Health spokesperson Adrian Chikumbe said there were no suspected cases of yellow fever as reported by Capital Radio through tweets and radio.

“There is no threat of yellow fever in the country, we have not traced any suspects of yellow fever,” he said.

The disease is said to have killed over 200 people in Angola and Democratic Republic of Congo.
