Malawi to host premier Christian leadership conference – Rev Lwesya

Malawi will for the 3rd time host an international leadership conference which is scheduled on 2nd and 3rd August at the Crossroads Hotelin Lilongwe.

The conference which is dubbed “Catalyst” is an annual event which targets and attracts leaders from all spheres.

This year the conference will happen under the theme, “Leading in uncertain times”

Speaking in an interview, the visioneer of this leadership conference Rev. Dr.EnsonLwesya said this year’s conference will be of a great significant and impact to Malawi nation which is sailing through tough times socially and economically.

Lwesya who is also senior Pastor for International Christian Assembly (ICA) said the conference will equip leaders in Malawi and Africa at large with the skills on how to apply biblical leadership principles in their endeavors especially at a time like this when followers seam to lose hope.

“Many things are happening in Malawi and across Africa at large, for example in Malawi there are issues of killings of people with albinism, the economy is melting and several others, all these to be addressed needs leaders who are equipped with the right principles and knowledge” He said.

According to DrLwesya,this year’s conference has a range of facilitators who are experts in different fields will address several relevant topics in relation to what the country and people are going through.

“We want the conference to provide answers to the current challenges” He added.

Some of the facilitators includes renowned Economist and Consultant Henry Kachaje, Rachel Sibande CEO and founder of Malawi’s First technological hub (MHUB) and she has been listed in Forbs magazine as among 30 most promising young Entrepreneurs in Africa, Bishop KephaOmae from Kenya, Bishop Andrew Dube just to mention afew.

Since it started in 2014, Catalyst conference has attracted an average participation of 80 key leaders from various International and Local NGO’s, Business owners, key leaders in various denominations and churches as well as para-church organizations.
