He is married but right now he has gone to South Africa for a holiday with a girlfriend, Keiko Msusa. Yemweyo amanyengana ndi Pachalo mpaka the two girls fought for him at TJ’s bar.

  6. Kapolo wa Mulungu says:

Putting party organising secretary at the hem of ESCOM is a recipe for financial mismanagement of the already struggling parastatal. We don’t want to see ESCOM vehicles taking people for party functions please! I hope your long stay in US was not in vain.

  12. Mute Gama says:

How will the DPP operatives without any brains (being rewarded here for clandestine evil activities) work with some of the people that have brains…? Malawian presidents after Kamuzu are just the same..stupid

  13. zondwayo says:

Mediocrity at its best. Board decisions are paramount to an organisations. I wonder if this was brought about in the interest of the much needed efficiency from these organisations. Not to undermine one’s capabilities, koma zoona mpaka ndi a Sai Kaphele ndi a Roy Coombes omwe!!! Just thinking aloud… lol

  14. Abiti Mtila says:

Bravo chitsulo cha njanji 2. Nzeru za iwe palibenso.

  15. M'Malawi weniweni says:

Are there persons with disabilities in these boards? Why is it that most of the times these appointments just favour the able-bodied and come to look at MACOHA it is composed of non-disabled persons. Do you think persons with disabilities cannot contribute something within these boards? Consider persons with disabilities as well not just rotating the very same people around the boards. Remember that Disability is NOT inability

  16. Kadakwiza says:

No comment, because south always dominate. I feel sorry for Kamuzu Chibambo the man now can’t talk about federalism. A mfumu Kyungu that is why he is against federation, because of a membership position. I feel sorry for you Mr Paramount Chief. North will never develop because of people like you.

  17. cbk says:

My president is there,i hope the day of our worship(sabbath) programmes will be of great significance at MBC.Teach them.A P Kajusu mulipo?

Mr Ibu, what is ur real motive? still vividly remember one big Kahuna Daniel Phiri hallucinating the prowess of a once upon a time hero of human rights ‘kapito wants my presidency’. now is this ur gimmick of silencing him? hope it won’t work according to propaganda!

  19. Mabomba says:

Some of the appointments are not in line with the Acts specifying who should be on the board and are therefore illegal. For example, is Roy Coomsey a scientist to be of the National Commission for Science and Technology?

  20. Wampwesa says:

24, dont worry Mbelwa V aonekapo some of the organisations are not listed in here

  25. chilungamo says:

Wait for the full list before u start criticizing, all the tribes will b accommodated! Some of the Boards not yet out r MERA, NRWB, CRWB, BT Water Board, LL Water Board, MAA, TCC, TAMA, RFA, MRA Board etc etc! Osadanda

    1. #Chilungamo,
Why Peter Hitler Mutharika cannot mix all the tribes in each department and prefer certain departments must only be Southerners and his Molhako people? Diversity is the most important thing that can unite our country but this guy thinks only Southerners and Lomwe people are intelligent. Tribalism and regionalism is the only thing this Peter Hitler Mutharika knows. When it quacks like a duck it is a duck not a chicken. This man is not a unitor but a divider. Nyika people are right to demand secession. As long as the Southerners have power Nyika people will continue to suffer. I CALL UPON THE SONS AND DAUGHTERS OF NYIKALAND TO JOIN THE ARMED STRUGGLE TO FIGHT THIS HITLER OF MALAWI. IT IS TIME FOR OUR PEOPLE TO REALIZE THEIR DREAMS AND BE AN INDEPENDENT NATION. SECESSION IS THE ONLY SOLUTION TO OUR PROBLEMS. THIS UNION OF MALAWI IS DEAD AND WE MUST FIGHT TO GET WHAT IS OURS, NYIKALAND. FIGHT CHILDREN OF NYIKA UNTIL OUR FINAL VICTORY. ALLUTA CONTINUAAAAAAAAAAAAA!

      1. khumi Chatu says:

All this debate about northerners being sidelined may not be wholly answered by federalism. even when the north breakes away to form nyika republic, tidzamvabe kuti nepotism is still there. I can foresee rumphi, mzimba (northern part), and south karonga dominating while chitipa, likoma, nkhata-bay and the rest shall be complaining bitterly. kenako tidzamvanso chitipa ikufuna kuima payokha and so on.

  26. Most of these appointees are dominated by Southerners and Mulhako people. Peter Hitler Mutharika has not changed and tribalism and regionalism is full embed in his blood. A leopard will never change its colors regardless of what. The best solution for other regions is to go for secession. Most of the Northerner appointees are the puppets that have sold their souls to this Peter Hitler Mutharika. These people don’t have creditability among their people because they are used just like condoms. The main issue that is troubling Nyika people is to be independent and that can only achieved through our unity so that our children can no longer be subjected to quota system and other isms that has been oppressing them since independent of Malawi. PETER HITLER MUTHARIKA LET MY PEOPLE GO! MAYIBUYE MY BELOVED NYIKALAND. THE STRUGGLE MUST CONTINUE UNTIL WE ACHIEVE FINAL VICTORY. FORWARD NYIKA PEOPLE AND NO SURRENDER!!!!!!!!!!!

  27. odzi says:

Congratulations to Ken Chilewe. KOma ndaboweka ndi Falao Phiri, Mmeta, Mang’anda ndi Mweziwina, ink inachepelapo. Anyway, congratulations also goes to Ulaya of Poly,

  29. Maulabo says:

  30. John says:

  51. Zidura Ntengo Undigwere says:

All in all, these bodies seem to be represented by a diverse group of people. Certainly diverse in gender, education, experience, backgrounds, and even race. That’s something!
Even the traditional leaders are from all over the map: Kyungu, karonga,Tsabango, Gomani, Bvumbwe, Liwonde, Nsamala and Ngolingoliwa. I cannot recall any of our past presidents thinking outside the box like this. I hope, especially these chiefs will represent interests of the citizens in the villages; rather than just look out for their own personal interests.
Any optics of tribal leanings in these appointments would be spurious indeed.

    1. daph walker says:

These are small positions. a means of appeasement to the Northeners so that they can close their mouths and stop demanding federal system. Also an introduction to cashgate. Where on earth will a bankrupt government appoint so many people with a zero aid budget that is failing to take off?

    2. SAMSON says:

Certainly i agree that there is diversity especially in profession categories which cuts across the party affiliation and leanings of those appointed. I am not so sure if education and competencies (experience) were core factors that were considered in the appointments. If you look at TEVETA the chair is a secretary who is suppose to drive and transform the complicated learning modules for the countries labour market. TEVETA is already way back with its programs and impact compared to the other TEVETA’s in the region.
Race considerations may not be very important but if they were meant to be included or balance the appointments then perhaps they were given the marginal weights

I find the MACRA board interesting especially its youthfulness. I think there will be lots of Camaraderie amongst its members.

  52. MKWAPU says:

    KAPITO CONGRATS!!!!!!
    CHIPITSANI MA RATES UKO

  53. OGO!! says:

Trying to get the activists to shut up!!! Disappointing…ufulu wa a Malawi uju ukupondelezedwa poyerayera. Shameful. Kupatsa anthu masikono in broad day light.

I am waiting to see the activists refuse these position so as to continue standing for what they feel it right in their hearts.

    1. Cymru says:

Propose laws that will not allow activists to serve in boards if you think it is not proper to appoint them. By the way, I thought every person appointed is informed about the appointment, why don’t the activists refuse if the appointment will compromise their work in society? I think OGO you have a backward thinking and it appears fear of the unknown is dominating your thinking. If there is talent in activists to serve in boards, are you sure they should not be appointed? I personally have a different view, may be you can elaborate your thinking. I have seen some activists doing their work very well whilst appointed in boards, it is not new in Malawi.

      1. OGO!! says:

Whether you are in Wales or mwangolemba dzinalo, my views are not backwards. Talent has to be harnessed of course but why give those positions to people who their job is to scrutinize the way government works including performances of such boards they are being appointed to chair or as members? Its not health for our country at all maybe you are Welsh!

As much as you are suggesting that it should be the case are these individuals the only ones qualified to perform the duties they are being appointed to undertake? In my ‘backward thinking’, as you put it, I am a believer the possibility of ‘CONFLICT OF INTEREST’. and if such is more than apparent, then it is highly discouraged especially in a fragile democracy like ours. Its not ideal. There is a need to have people who conduct balances and checks in a democratic society and if you remove one variable of an equation then there is no equality.

In any case you can have your opinion and I have mine, our levels of understanding are different, life experiences and exposures are different but that will not stop me from thinking that there is a massive conflict of interest as now these individuals are being forced to put most of their energy in one particular area. I do not condone the suppression of democracy.
