Maputo must not feign ignorance on the suffering people from TETE and ZAMBEZI provinces. People are being killed by both sides of the conflict therefore the frelimo Govt in Maputo must come out in the open to declare what is happening there. The big problem we see is that Malawi Government is spending a lot in caring for these in terms of Medical and food. These are their people and they are supposed to be concerned in one way or another they need to ask SADC to arrange for talks with who so ever is waging this hit and run… Read more »

Let us not make the same mistake which Dr. H Kamuzu Banda (MHSRIP), who refused to call Mozambicans fleeing their civil war as refugees; opting rather to call them “displaced” people on the basis that Mozambique and Malawi are one people. Obviously Mozambicans do not think so. They treat Malawians very badly and we suffered a great deal as a result of our benevolence, Let the international community know that Mozambique is at war again and we cannot cope with the influx of refugees.
