Malawi player Ngalande in baby drama with South Africa’s Thabalala

A 21 year old Malawi national soccer team up-and-coming star Robin Ngalande has been implicated in a pregnancy scandal alongside South Africa’s international Sphiwe Tshabalala.

According to reports published in a South African newspaper Daily Sun, it is claimed that the mother of the baby, 25 year old Zanele Khanye Skhosana doesn’t know who the baby daddy is.

The paper claims close friends to Zanele told Sunday Sun that the lady is six months pregnant and that the child could be Siphiwe’s or Robin’s.

It is also reported that the two football stars are not committed to undergo a DNA test.

“She found out she was pregnant three months ago. When she told Siphiwe, he said he didn’t want to know the DNA because he knows it is Robin’s baby. When she told Robin, he told her to leave him alone and said the baby was Siphiwe’s” claimed Zanele’s close friend in an interview with the Daily Sun adding that Siphiwe told her he has too many responsibilities.

Another friend said: “She wants to do DNA tests. She believes the child is either Shabba’s or Robin’s, but she is more in love with Robin.”

Reports indicates Zanele has described the matter as very complicated and that she “don’t want to talk about it.”
Zanele met Siphiwe about four years ago and has known Robin since 2011-Both relationships have been on-and-off for years.

“Siphiwe hates his (Robin’s) guts and even calls him a Ben 10,” the friend said. She said at some point, Zanele was staying with Robin, and Shabba didn’t like it. Shabba apparently shows his love by showering Zanele with expensive gifts. He pays her rent, sponsors her holiday trips and bought her a car. “She got back together with Robin early this year and she recently fixed things with Siphiwe,” the friend added.

Few days ago, Shabbalala told Daily Sun through an email from Cameroon, where Bafana played the Central African Republic that “I have no time for malicious rumours.”

His manager, Jazzman Mahlakgane, also denied all the claims.

“There’s no such a thing. Siphiwe is living a clean life and is not involved in these sorts of things,” he said. Jonathan Schloss, Bidvest Wits COO, said Robin is currently out of the country.

He said: “We don’t get involved in players’ lives unless they come to us asking for help.”
