Legalise the route. Many travellers to S.A are from up north why not let the buses go that far? Let us open up so that the people from these districts don’t have to spend nights in Bt and LL in order to connect the following mng. Secondly why fine them in dollars is that not illegal. We transact in MKs tisabe and the figure is not justifiable?

the fine is justifiable, but not as much as 1000 dollars about MK600,000.

There is no single provision within and outside The Road Traffic Regulations Act that mandates the Road enforcers to collect such a hefty sum of money from offenders.

Why not charging them 1000 Rand? Besides, the buses aimed at helping bonafide Malawians to various destinations within the country.

Of course the country is found wanting Dollars, but that does not guarantee the Law enforcers to unleash such a contentious fine.

When these people pay, they will iltreat our brothers and sisters!

PARTLY AGREE BUT THIS ONLY REMINDS ME HOW WE LOOSE MONEY IN MALAWI. REVISIT THE REGULATIONS SO THAT THE BUSES PAY TOLL FEES TO THE VARIOUS DESTINATIONS, WE’RE CRYING OF FOREX SHORTAGE AND YET WE DELIBERATELY MISS CHANCES LIKE THESE KUBWEZERETSA PHALA KUNKOBWE. WATCH OUT FOR MY BOOK OUT BY END OF THIS YEAR ON HOW WE CAN IMPROVE OUR SICK ECONOMY WITH THE RESOURCES THAT WE ALREADY HAVE. (note: nothing copied form DD Mountain of Badall Ghost)
