The speech was and is clear, to the point. If we can rate it, it can be the first shortest SONA speech in Africa, if not the world – this means Malawi has invented a sona shot speech which many other African presidents will follow suit.

Malawi Dzuka Kwacha tsopano – the sickly opposition leaders if not taking care, and change the strategy of opposition work as government advisory – this time you are waiting wont come back.

Have u, for a second,,wondered why despite What u have been calling and u r now calling ”concise and mature” state of nation addresses, there has been very little tangible outcome from them. If u really are a true Malawian, and u feel the adverse effects of the plight that we are currently in, u will have a shred of intelligence to know that maybe there’s a very good chance that the two state of national addresses that APM has made so far, do not reflect what is on the ground, it is giving less hope to average Malawians, and… Read more »

The Preident National Address Statement Is Crear And Mature. The Things Which Is Missing In This Statement To The Leader Of Opposition Is The Love Of Their Country Which Could Help Him To Accept The Fact That Without Donor Aid To Our Economy, We Are Poor. We Therefore To Learn In A Hard Way To Produce Our Own Sweet From Our Own Sweat. Donors Will Not Put Food On A Table Of Lazy People. Therefore Politicians. Never Tell Malawians About Sweet From Donors Again In Your Political Rallies. Who Said Malawi Will Be A Blessing By Receiving From Donors? Even… Read more »

To me crucial facts from the President Speech in Parliament are:
1. Our style of Democracy seems to be our curse more than a blessing for us.
2. Turn our challenges into stepping stones for building economically independent Malawi.
3. Hard times should teach us hard lessons for lasting solutions.
4. We will aggressively pursue those Civil Servants who are creating ghost workers and bring them to justice.
With these facts he has spoken as a professor I know but the rest are politics of Malawi standard.
