Malawi Queens suffer Jamaica loss: Commonwealth games
Malawi netball Queens on Monday night suffered a devastating loss to Jamaica’s Sunshine girls 50-81 in their Pool A match of the on-going Commonwealth games in Galsgow Scotland.
The Queens needed to beat Jamaica and then wrap-up Pool A fixtures on Tuesday with awin again hosts Scotland to stand a chance of sailing through.
But the loss has pushed Malawi’s hopes away.
Smarting from a win against St Lucia, Malawi Queens were pinned down by Sunshine Girls who came flat out scoring goal after goal before the Queens settled down. They threw off on a higher note.
The Queens fought hard but it was too late to bridge the big gap.
