Malawi Super League giants Silver, Bullets daggers drawn in K1m GOtv Trophy

The match between Silver Strikers and Big Bullets  in the Multichoice Malawi’s K1 million GOtv Soccer Challenge Trophy is billed  to be an explosive one.

The two teams will face each other this Saturday at Civo Stadium in Lilongwe where the winner will pocket K1 million.

There are always bruising battles when the two side meet. The tactics of Silver coach Franco Ndawa and Bullets mentor Eddington Ng’onamo will be put to the test as both sides wants to win this trophy.

“We are very excited that Malawi’s top two teams accepted our invitation to be part of the exciting launch of GOtv in Lilongwe. The winner will pocket K1 million with the losing team carting home half the amount,” said Chimwemwe Nyirenda, Multichoice Malawi Marketing Manager for the south.

Bullets have been inconsistent in their play against Silver recently so it will be very difficult even for the punters to bet on them.

Lilongwe fans will also have the opportunity to watch a netball match between Blantyre and Lilongwe select sides to mark the official launch of the GOtv Netball Champions league on the same day.

The Lilongwe select side will have the likes of Cecilia Mtukule, Jane Chimaliro, Tina Kamzati, Joyce Mvula, Takondwa Lwazi, Beauty Nyangulu, Harriet Nnapo, Jessica Chikooka, Happiness Nkhoma, Rabecca Banda and Rose Chinyama.

While the Blantyre select has players such as Beatrice Kadango, Sindie Simtowe, Jessie Mazengera, Caroline Mtukule Ngwira, Bridget Kumwenda, Thandie Galeta, Chikumbutso Banda, Joanna Kachilika, Towera Vinkhumbo, Pilirani Msukwa, Lauren Ngwira and Catherine Yikwanga.
