First red cards went to Be Forward Wanderers midfielder Mike Kaziputa whose team collected maximum three points after thrashing Epac FC 3-1 at Kamuzu stadium on Sunday and Stain Chirwa of Airborne Rangers.

Wanderers, widely known as Nomads, paraded six new players- Stanley Sanudi, Jimmy Zakazaka, Isaac Kaliati, Malumbo Gondwe, Rafik Mussa and Muhamad Sulumba.

With that win, following Sulumba’s double and the other from Luka Milanzi, the Lali Lubani boys were off to a flying start in the new season.

Likewise, central region based Blue Eagles whipped rookies Sure Stream FC 4-2 to start the campaign on promising note as well.

Mzuzu based soldiers Moyale Barracks are topping the log table having collected four points from two games over the weekend.  They drew 1-1 with Dedza Young Soccer on Saturday before beating their brothers in arms Kamuzu Barracks 1-0 on Sunday at Dedza Stadium.

Meanwhile, Sure Stream FC mentor Peter Mponda said despite the 4-2 defeat to Blue Eagles, his team will survive the 2015 TNM League heat.

“I believe we played well, but football only remembers the winner. Its just that we made some mistakes that cost us the game.

“I don’t think scoring is a problem for us. We were up against a team with players who have five or more years of Super League experience and we managed to score twice. We will learn from this. The boys will, in the next game, not repeat these mistakes,” said Mponda, who is facing defending champions, Big Bullets this coming weekend.

“We have a good team with loads of confidence. I am sure with time, they will click into gear,” said Mponda.
