Malawi to face Benin in final qualifiers for Africa Nations Cup

Malawi national senior team will face Benin in the last assignment of the African Cup of Nations (AFCON) final qualifying games.

Despite losing 3-1 to Chad in N’Djamena last Saturday, Malawi advanced to the next step on away goal rule thanks to a Robin Ngalande consolation goal.

Benin beat Sao Tome 2-0 in the last match to make it 4-0 on aggregate after again winning the first leg by the same goal margin.

The winner between Malawi and Benin will reach the group stages.

They will complete group B comprising of seeded Mali, Ethiopia and Algeria.

The first leg of the will be played at Kamuzu Stadium on 19th July before a return leg away in Benin on 2nd August, 2014.
