Malawi top singers date Bullets FC club house on Sunday

Nde’feyo Entertainment and Big Bullets FC, the country’s two powerhouses in music and soccer fraternities, respectively, will this Sunday afternoon join forces to fundraise for the former’s activities through a live music gig.

The show will see Nde’feyo hotshots Piksy, Armstrong, Biriwiri, Trumel, Maziko Band and DJ Kari P performing at the Big Bullets FC club house in Mandala, Blantyre.

‘The People’s Team’ has been holding shows at its club house in its quest to raise funds for the running of the team and some of the artists that have performed there before are Lucius Banda & Zembani Band as well as reggae giants, the Black Missionaries.

“We don’t want to rely on the money that we get from Carlsberg Malawi [as sponsorship] to keep us going, so this is one of the fundraisers this year,” Bullets FC general secretary Higger Mkandawire is quoted as saying in a statement issued by Nde’feyo Music.

Higger, this is an important show to BB

Mkandawire says there are a lot of things the team needs to cover, among them, paying for the training ground at College of Medicine Sports Complex as well as training and game allowances for the players.

He further disclosed that through the show, the team also wants to realise funds that will be used to cater for players’ bonuses this festive season.

The BB general secretary observes that the team’s players have achieved a lot this season, having won the Carlsberg Malawi Charity Shield and are currently sitting on the summit of the TNM Super League.

“As a club, we don’t take this for granted. It’s a great achievement and we want to say ‘thank you’ to the players through bonuses. We don’t have any source of funds, so this show is so important to us.

“My plea goes to all the Bullets fans in Blantyre to come in large numbers and be part of the show. Their presence will help the team, the players and he artists,” adds Mkandawire.

On their part, Nde’feyo Music says they are excited to be associated with the famous BB and help them fundraise for their different activities through the show.

“Our artists are well prepared to make the show a memorable one,” says Nde’feyo Entertainment.

The show is proudly sponsored by Carlsberg Malawi and is scheduled to start at 2:00pm.
