Malawi woman Linda Chinula nabbed with Cocaine at airport

A young Malawian woman who sells cocaine has been arrested by Police at Kamuzu International Airport (KIA) on Friday when police confiscated her luggage containing dangerous drug, cocaine weighing two kilograms.

Sergeant Sapulami Chitonde KIA Public Relations Officer said the woman aged 22 has identified herself as Linda Chinula who resides in Mchesi Township in the capital city Lilongwe.

Sgt. Chitonde said the business lady was arrested upon arrival from Lome in Togo where she went on Saturday, November 20, 2016 through KIA using Ethiopian Airline and was using passport number MA574762.

“Following a tip from well-wishers about the suspect, she was traced upon arrival at KIA’s arrivals Hall where after collecting her bags and thoroughly searched the drug was found concealed in one of her hand languages” said Chitonde

“This matter is under microscope as the suspect confessed to be in the
business for ages” hinted Sgt Chitonde

He said Linda Chinula whose her home village is Lambalamba, Traditional Authority (T/A ) Chindi, in Mzimba district will face charges of Illegal Importation of dangerous drugs,  an offence under Section 11(a) as read with Regulation 19 of Dangerous Drug Act.

“The suspect is in Police custody pending a Court appearance and Airport Police is sending a warning message to the General public that a long arm of the justice will catch them if tries to use the facility in importing or exporting anything dangerous,” he warned

According to Chitonde, the suspect is expected to be taken to court next week.

 Illegal Importation of dangerous drugs is an offence under Section 11(a) as read with Regulation 19 of Dangerous Drug Act and it is punishable by law, according to the police spokesperson.

Police at KIA have since cautioned the general public that the law enforcers would keep watchful and that any attempt to use the aviation facility for illegal

The drug will send people crazy overseas so don’t export it, Russia exports ak47s, USA ,China, eu are the worlds highest beneficiaries of wars through exports of arms.this is just a fact non defence to drug dealing.

Drug dealing is always a syndicate. There must have been a sudden change of Police shift duty roster.
Some Police officers are involved. Someone did not get his/her fair share previously hence a tip.
