Malawian woman murdered in Dublin, body found in suitcase

A murdered woman whose remains were found in a luggage bag in Dublin, Ireland on Saturday has been identified as a student from Malawi.
Reports on Ireland television RTE and the Irish Times says the victim was a 26-year-old originally from Malawi and had been in Ireland for the last two years
According to the reports, she was registered as a student with a small educational institution. She had a last-known address at a flat in Rathmines.
Victim identified as Rudo Mawera
Malawians in Ireland who spoke to the Nyasa Times on Sunday identified the victim as Rudo Mawere. She was going out with a man belived to be a Zimbabwean (upadated), according to the Malawians who knew her.
The woman is said to have been fluent in Shona and Chichewa languages.
The body was found by a passerby on Blackhorse Avenue at around 8.30am on Saturday.
Reports said a person out walking came across a large holdall bag with wheels and a handle and when they examined it they found the body of a woman inside.
A post mortem conducted on Sunday night showed she died from asphyxiation.
Irish Times reported that the deceased was wearing jeans, boots, a top and a jacket when found.
Ireland law enforcement agency, Gardaí, believe the Malawian was killed on Saturday.
Witnesses said they saw the bag as early as 7pm on Saturday but had no idea there was a body inside.
Malawian community in Dublin expressed shock at the discovery.
