Malawian man killed during sex with married woman

A sex-obsessed Malawian man has been murdered in central district of Kasungu after he was caught in the act bonking somebody’s wife he had turned into a girlfriend, police have confirmed.

The deceased has been identified as Joseph Mazoni aged 48 and hailed from Mgulura Village, Traditional Authority Kawamba in the district.

Kasungu Police Assistant Public Relations Officer, Burton Mathewe, told Nyasa Times, late Mazoni was beaten to death by his “girlfriend’s” husband as the two enjoyed the hush-hush sausage game.

Police have since apprehended and are keeping in custody the woman’s husband, 45-year-old Moleni Zikieli, for suspected murder.

Mathewe identified the “uncontrolled and sex-loving” woman as Lizinet Banda, aged 49. Both the woman and her husband come from Kapwata Village, also in the area of TA Kawamba.

According to police investigations, the woman had been cheating his husband for some time and engaged late Mazoni in a sticky sweetheart affair.

“Later the suspect realised what was going on, so he convinced his wife and connived with her to make a plan so that he captures the deceased,” explained Mathewe.

He said in the evening of the fateful day (4th November 2013), his wife lied to her “boyfriend” that her husband had gone away.

“Upon hearing the news, the deceased was so excited and immediately rushed to her home. After meeting her, they immediately went into a kitchen where they started making love,” he said.

As all this was happening, Mathewe said, the husband was within the vicinity, just a few meters away, watching the episode while gripping with anger.

“In no time, he went straight into the kitchen and found the deceased quenching his sexual appetite on his wife. He then started beating him until he died on the spot,” narrated Mathewe.

He said upon realising that the cheater had breathed his last, the suspect with the help of his wife, took Mazoni’s lifeless body on a bicycle and dumped it in the bush near Mwimba Farm Institute to deceive people that he had been murdered by criminals at that scene.

Postmortem conducted at Kasungu District Hospital revealed that the deceased had a broken neck and the death occurred due to strangulation.

Meanwhile, police say Zikieli, who is still behind bars, is expected to appear before court to answer murder charges.
