The South African based model confirmed this in an interview with Nyasa Times.

Expressing her joy, the 22-year-old said: “It’s so exciting. Makes me feel that I must be doing something right as a model, traveling to another country to model is every model’s dream.”

Thembi also said she was looking forward to meeting renowned Zambian models Alice Musukwa, who was her mentor at Malawi Fashion Week 2013, and Naomi Banda, who also participated at the Lilongwe fashion week.

“It will be awesome to see Alice again, she has been traveling a lot lately. So I’m sure I will still learn a lot from her, as well as Naomi who is now the Miss World Heritage 2013,” she said.

Recently, Thembi was also appointed brand ambassador for top vehicle brands, Nissan and Toyota, during the Johannesburg International Motor Show 2013.
