Sad that some idiots find an opportunity to be tribalism. Richard is a person that would not want anybody to use his name to segregate others. He stays in Johannesburg and has been a role model for all Malawians leaving in JHB and not only Tumbukas. If you have nothing to say just keep your mouth shut. And keep Richard out of this
What has he done again? I’m still not getting it. the article just lists his positions and affiliations. Is that how you measure someone’s contributions? Let’s take Bill Clinton. I can say he established Clinton Foundation and built 3 hospitals which serve 500 sick children per month. Now what tangible contributions has this prof made? What’s the credibility of the institution that awards this Branding award? Who are the past winners? The article should have been more clear so that we know before celebrating
IT is only those who are still in the old stage who still believe one tribe can be more intelligent than another tribe. In Malawi evidence is overwhelming that no single tribe can monopolise intelligence. Malawi has evidence of successful and accomplished professors cutting across all tribes in the country. Shame on those occupied with ethnic mindsets.
I congratulate Prof Mkandawire for a well deserved accomplishment. Keep the fire burning. You have put Malawi on the map.
