Malawian women’s players clinch deal in Zimbabwe

Kings Ladies players Chimwemwe Billy and Carol Khoviwa have clinched professional deals with Zimbabwean Women’s Super League team Chipembere Queens.

The patron for Kings Ladiesand the players’ agent Prince Jere confirmed that defender Billy and midfielder Khoviwa had passed the trials at the promoted side.

Jere said the two players would be offered one year contract at the club but did not state finer details regarding the deal.

“They have proved that they are worth the salt to play for Zimbabwe top league,” Jere said.

“For them to be offered the contracts it was not a joke. It means they did well during the trials and we are proud of them.”

The two players would join Chisomo Kadzitsonga who also clinched a deal in Zimbabwe two years ago.

Loveness Nyakamera and Chrissy Kasiya also secured professional deals in South Africa with Kanatla Ladies while Tabitha Chawinga sealed a lucrative deal with Swedish club early this year.
