Malawians in US launch Zambezi Cargo services

A group of Malawians livining in United States of America have launched Zambezi Equipment and Cargo Services, a new venture that sources household, farm, trucking and small business equipment and provides highly discounted inexpensive shipping options by consolidating cargo destined to Central Africa with emphasis on Malawi, Zambia and Zimbabwe.zambezi cargo

In the US, cargo shipping to Africa is one of the most sought after services within the African diaspora.

In response to this demand, Zambezi, a new cargo consolidation services business has been set up .

The group also caters to aid organizations operating in these Central African countries. The next shipping containers leaves Michigan during the last week of October 2015 .

The company picks up cargo from many locations in the mid-westerm US at a small fee.
“ Zambezi Equipment & Cargo can also assist clients with arranging for the most economical transfer of cargo from locations throughout the US to the container loading location at no additional service fees,” the company said in a statement made available to Nyasa Times.

According to Zambezi, the business model is based on shared high volume shipment discounting attained through cargo consolidation while ensuring secure and reliable delivery of cargo to destinations.

The group has experience working with reliable and trustworthy agents in Dar EsSalaam, Tanzania, Beira and Maputo in Mozambique and Durban, South Africa.

The cargo containers are dispatched from USA every two to three months. On average, it takes 10 – 12 weeks to ship cargo from Eastern US ports to Central Africa.

Zambezi Cargo is looking to demonstrate “reliability and value” for the serious Central Africa business owners or aid groups that may not be able to fill a full container on their own in one shipment but would be interested in accessing discounted pricing and reliable services

This is a very welcome development. We need people who are innovative and thinking positively for the development of their region. Nobody can stop them now, its forward ever. The late Bingu (MHSRIP) did a great job and we need to make his dream come true and here it comes. Bravo brains behind the project!! May GOD bless our region!!!
