We farmers have suffered in this floating Kwacha regime we sell our produce when kwacha is at its strongets on May/June then when we need farm inputs fertiliser chemicals seeds the kwacha is at its worst in november, Please government if you want us farmers to continure producing produce we need a fixed kwacha as our profits and wiped off by the kwacha devaluation every year with this floating system

Why do we think Malawi should not be affected by the strengthening of the dollar out there?
Malawi does not exist outside of the world economic system. Even south Africa is experiencing a depreciation of its rand and a weakened economy. Just watch the global news you will be able to pick these things.

Ndiye ka dependent Malawinso ndikachaninso.

Our main problem is that there are no independent analysts out there who can holistically explain to ordinary citizens why we are experiencing the current problems without talking about politics.
